Dalam kesukaran kita menghadapi ujian COVID-19 ini, janganlah kita lupakan mereka yang terpaksa berkorban demi kesihatan dan keselamatan kita. Mereka ini ibarat adiwira, iaitu barisan doktor, jururawat, anggota PDRM dan ATM, RELA serta termasuk juga yang seangkatan dengan mereka. Tanpa adiwira-adiwira ini, kita mungkin tidak dapat hidup dengan aman dan sejahtera.
Saya juga percaya pandangan masyarakat terhadap golongan pekerja seperti pembantu kedai, pemandu grab, tukang cuci serta pengawal keselamatan telah berubah sejak krisis Covid-19 ini bermula. Selama ini mereka dipandang rendah, tetapi hari ini merekalah yang menggerakkan ekonomi dan membantu masyarakat meneruskan kehidupan.
Sempena Hari Pekerja ini, sama-sama kita mengambil kesempatan merakamkan ucapan terima kasih serta penghargaan terhadap pekerja barisan hadapan yang terus berjuang bagi memastikan kesinambungan masyarakat. Tunjukkan penghargaan anda walau pun dengan tindakan yang kecil seperti ucapan terima kasih. Selamat Hari Pekerja kepada semua!

During this difficult time of facing the Covid-19 challenge, let's not forget about those who have sacrificed for our health and safety. These heroes are doctors, nurses, police, soldiers, volunteers and other frontliners. Without these heroes, we will not be living in peace and harmony.
I believe that the society's views on workers such as grocers, Grab drivers, cleaners and security guards have changed since the start of the Covid-19 crisis. All this while they were often looked down upon, but today they are driving the economy and helping society maintain its livelihood.
In conjunction with Labour Day, let's use this opportunity to say thank you and show our appreciation to the frontliners and those behind the scenes who are fighting to protect society. Show your appreciation even through the simplest of actions such as a thank you. Happy Labour Day to all!
